Today most of us work in offices, homes , working continuously with a computer, watching a monitor. There is no work, exercise for all parts of the body. The neck does not get exercise. Only your eye balls move, roll, and your fingers run and your brain concentrates on work. The effects are harmful indeed. We never had this much of intrusion & changes in our lives!! It is certainly offending to the brain. You got to take care of your eyes and brain cells, as you have a long future ahead.
One thing, we got to understand. We should not believe the mfrrs., foolishly. These days, every thing is commercially motivated, and there is no element of customer's safety, or health care involved in these fast arriving products of IT. Hardwares and Softwares produced in a hurry, contain many incomplete elements, taxing our brain. Please note that you got to take care of yourself. Those of us interested can follow what we can, as we take tea or food, or brush our teeth or comb our hair, promptly!
You may follow whatever little of this simple routine, but daily.
Wash your eyes with clean cold water every two hours daily IF YOUR WORK IS HEAVY ! IF NOT, just once in the morning and evening.
You can use the eye cup,
available for Rs5 or so, in Naturopathy Drugstores, Khadi Bhavans, etc in India.
Clean it and Fill it with clean cold water, and dip your OPEN eye and keep one after the other, for about 3min. As below:
Go to bed with a hand kerchief/ hankie dipped wet in ice water and put it on CLOSED eyes, for 15min at least, before falling asleep.
While taking bath, bend down your head, and pour water over the back of your head, so as to cool and allow blood to head.
Pour for 3 minutes. Don't rush from bath. Take a cool bath and a long bath esp. more water for head, if your brain is having more torturous daily work!
Go take a look at distant sceneries for 10m at least daily, where the sun is less hot, and the air is fit to breathe, and not sultry .
Blink your eyes, 20 times when you get time, in office or travelling in a bus, etc
(but not when you Drive!)
Do you have a hand-shower in your bath? It'll be a blessing if you have one. Or get one installed. Use it to spray on your closed eyes, one after another, for 2 min each eye daily morn and evg.. It will help greatly.
Your neck muscles need massaging daily. If you can get somebody to do it, do it. It will help in blood flow to the eyes!!
Try to sleep without a pillow, to help your brain get more blood flow.
Your breathing exercise should be to blow air out for 3 to 4 secs, and inhale for 6 to 8 secs. After some days, by practice, Slowly try to hold in the exhaled condition, for 3 to 5 secs.
Do some neck exercises, by turning sides in your seat

You are not! You can get out of this successfully, if you can put into practice some of the suggested course corrections in your life. It is easy.
You will be back again as a cheerful person!you become anxious to get a solution and your anxiety increases. You lose your deep sleep, concentration, and feel mentally tired. Refer Anxiety Neurosis in the internet as above. You lose sleep for many days. You may blabber, talk when you are alone. You feel You are trapped and stress increases as you cannot get out. All computer jobs will not produce this. Computer jobs that yield instant results for your efforts like web designing, creative work, will not produce this. If your job is very bad, repetitive and without results, because of bugs in the softwares, take a long break, take leave, or look for a change of job.

If you have the mousetrap syndrome in your work, learn to handle, carefully, such repetitive, unsuccessful attempts at work. Stop/ Get out and get fresh air and attempt after some time. Take time. Share with others. Walk,
Talk, Laff out loud with friends !!
Get back your old class mates, with whom you can talk freely and spend time with them daily. It helps. Pl. do not get addicted to narcotics. Write to me!

Everyday, after work, Play some games that are not taxing to the brain. Listen to melodious music. Western Classical, Jazz or Hindi songs. Get involved in it deeply, forget everything that occupies your mind. Read some short poems of Wordsworth, before you retire to bed. This will help cleanse your subconscious mind/thinking, as you sleep!
Be in children's (of age 5to 10)company and relax and play with them. Pets are also good for this.
In extreme cases, like logic programmers, offended end-users, keep a table fan nearer to head when you sleep and cool your head with windows open, as you sleep. You may cover your body with a blanket. Leave head open as long as you can. This will cool the brain. This will have good effect. If you have sinusitis, cold, shivering, avoid this.
Do 10 min of yoga asanas
morning/evening, before food as below:
1st stage of shirsana for 3 m
padmasana for3m
vajrasana for
4 mThe following either morning or evening
Vajrasana with fingers on eyes
(dont press) 5m

You can stay as long as you can bear, it is good for all health problems!
Glucose is instantly effective and good for the brain, esp. if it is from fresh sugarcane juice , grapes fruit juice, jaggery with lemon in cold water. Take it to office, drink it four times a day if you have no diabetes, of course !
